I'm 30 am I hate that I was born in one of the worst eras of music. Man I wish I had a time machine.
Beautiful
You have the wrong picture for the Gallahads. The Seattle Gallahads is a Black group with Jimmy Pipkins as the lead singer.
Wow never heard this one !!!!😂
Underrated record!!!
Is this group still together?
doo woop is the foundtion of soul music in the 70s
Nothing like doowop done right,on a corner ,accapella style❤
These Inquisitors are new but also old at the same time. They touch the memories with their own edge. I am their old man fan.
I sang this song and was hoarse for 2 weeks
Ahhh...wow...tht was absolutely wonderful...1❤
OH MY GOD!!!....I'm in acapella heaven!!!!!
Thank you for posting this awesome video. OMG, the memories of those “yesterday’s “. I cried , danced, and smiled. Those were the best days. This was music, I feel sorry for this generation, they have nothing in their so called “music”. How I wished this music would find its way back. Thank you for let me relive those beautiful and wonderful memories ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
When gangs of the 1950s rode to rumble with another gang whether the gang was black or white there was no prejudice to who was singing on the radio, the groups singing could be black, white or latino.
Great Song! Jesus Loves You My Dear Friends! God Bless You Always! John 3:16
Just started listening to Southside Johnny several weeks ago. As a huge Springsteen fan, how in the Sam Hell did I miss this connection? Just F*#*ing love their music, especially the ballads!! I’m nearly 67 and I wish I’d known about them yeeeaaarrss ago!! But, I’m making the best out of it and listen to them every day!! LONG LIVE ROCK AND ROLL!!
These guys are terrific! I am glad they recorded a nice run of acapella records. Many of the 2000's acapella doowoppers sound a bit like barbershop. Tight, in tune, but stiff. These guys delivered from the heart!!
Harry's from the neighborhood I remember back in the day under the Cresson st. bridge in manayunk..
Love this version
Doo wop lives forever
Lillian is awesome,I love her❤
Luv Cannibal use to see them and the Midnighters at the battle of the bands in East Los Angeles rip Cannibal 😢
Johnny and Stevie honoring this very special type of music.
Beautiful
One of the best stock of palace songs ever written end song

BARAKA BASHAD MAY THE BLESSINGS BE 👑❤👑1 800 LOVE GOD 😊
Can hardly find men with baritones anymore....
Grt song this was featured on WHRB Harvards radio station with disc jockey Stomping Zemo on Sat nites this is a super job with this song
Sing WPLJ-The 4 duces. 👍🏻
This is way too short. As the Jamaicans say "wheel and come again". We need a longer documentary. Please!
Like to play this song at my favorite pizza restaurant.
This is cool
Always loved this tune but never got to hear this acapella rendition before. So happy to find it - it sounds just great!
Does anybody actually know anything about this concert. I was there and totally enraptured by it. I'm dead certain it was a lot earlier than 1973 but I can't prove it because everybody's dead! Little Walter who hosted it, and my friend Greg who died in March was there. Also who was the lead singer since Leroy Griffin had died by then. Did Sonny Griffin take over as lead? Many questions. Michael
Sonny Griffin died a while ago, the last remaining person (probably) is Harold jaynes, he is lead here I am pretty sure, he could still be around but I really have no idea. last seen him on a youtube comment in a different nutmegs video 7 years ago
What is better than this????
For everyone who loves this group, there a 1983 UGHA tape of them singing this one and more that's great. The Flame starts somewhere around 14:00. ua-cam.com/video/fWOlr4eqNj0/v-deo.html
great song ty..............
🎶🎶♥️ Love this Fabulous Version...♥️🎶
Yeah!
Doo wop singers are some of the greatest singers from Willie Winfield to Tony Williams to johnny maestro they deserve to be recognized like singers like Freddie Mercury toroy Orbison these doowop singersarejust as good if not better that's why I am working on a TV show that takes place in that era up on Sullivan county during the hotel era
Beautiful songs since yesar 50s 🎸🥁🎸❤️
Amazing video
back again................... OUTSTANDING DOO WOP - STREET CORNER TUNE
These guys have been around for a while
Great Documentary....." Never stop singing " ❤
I could imagine Amy Winehouse covering this. Maybe one day with AI
sounds exactly like melvis franklin
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!
Sad what happened to those neighbourhoods. The sound of Doo-Wop in the streets and its evocation of community and urban romance are but ghosts in the ghettos of American cities. Nevertheless, this music and it's influence on huge musical acts like The Beatles and The Beach Boys is severely underestimated today.
